Admins asking for non-trivial amounts of help with results.
If you want to be an admin, do the work.

Bad design.
Some of them choose worst colors, fonts and forum/website templates and makes worst category placement.
These are exhausting and painful from my perspective.

Admins always wanting help with results and posting results late. Life happens sometimes and is out of our control, but if you want to run a fed, there's an amount of work that must be done to ensure it works. They don't run themselves.

God there's so many these days Lol. usually I can see it and say "That's a red flag" but they are more case by case so I'm gonna try to stick to generalities that make me roll my eyes hard.
Real Life Feds: WWE/AEW/TNA/ETC. branding, I know there are exceptions to this rule, but 9/10 times when I encounter feds like this they die really fast or are generally boring. It speaks to a lack of creativity and ability to plan since I don't believe these were well thought out.
CAW Feds: This is a weird one and probably a correlation =/= causation kind of thing but for some reason like every CAW fed I encountered that has their champion belts and champions plastered on the top or side of the page. Has like a really weirdly unhealthy community. It's probably something else entirely but it's just something really fuckin weird I noticed.

I always check the boards and rules of a place when checking out a fed. Red flags for me are things like expect you to rp in a specific way, bickering on the boards, lots of extra rules in place mentioned as a result of things that have happened, lots of late results, really generic results, commentators seeming to only exist to tell poorly constructed dirty jokes, no board posts in awhile, poor ooc treatment of new people, and general bad vibes.
Honestly, i know there are more. Im probably missing some of the bigger red flags, but im still working on getting alive today
