Normally, I would do one feedback thread for a double shot, but since the Odyssey came a day early and Battles isn't coming until Sunday night, I thought I would go ahead and post an Odyssey feedback thread for anyone who wants to take part.
I'll do my usual feedback contribution once both shows are up.
It's been a wild as hell nine months to get to this point.
Thank you all for everything you do.
much love - mgp

I...wow. it's been awhile since an efed show made me this emotionally invested but holy hell the intro and ending bookended my emotions. The intrepid odyssey is definitely in my top 3 battle royal matches of all time. Congratulations to the winner which will make things interesting going forward. Also: Saki is best girl.

So first... wow what a ride.
So much to process and the lore? Especially the ending? Incredible.
Congrats to Jack Sullivan ! I can't imagine how much of a bloodbath that battle between you and Cap is going to be. And from story stand point? Like it said in the results, will Endo choose sides? Will she give a damn at all? Intrigue!
Big thing I have to say is just beyond compliments to Josh. Not just for the incredibly immersive and gripping story and action, but the extreme attention to detail. I was having to work just to keep track of all the moving parts of the Odyssey. I can't imagine how challenging that had to be for actually writing it.
Also the MGS graphic popped me. Well all of them did but I love me some MGS. Also making a graphic for each entrant? Monster.
I didn't get around to reading RPs this cycle, but going by the results and mentions from others, it seems Odyssey foreshadows a drastically different roster coming out than where we went in.
I'm looking forward to see how things shake out as the months go on AND WE STILL HAVE BATTLES FOR THIS WEEKEND.
My hats off to you more than I can say REQUIEM Puroresu . You truly are a maniac to be doing this solo but thank you so much for taking us along the ride.
Oh and heartkillers , I am (and at the same time, am not) looking forward to our own bloodbath over the next few months

This was a lot. I don't even know what to even comment of. I think I am still taken aback by the sudden taking out of a legend which led to the ten bell salute.
So.much.chaos. This definitely lived up to the hype hell even down to the crazy addition of rules especially with the background of such games too (I definitely loved one of the Street Fighter ones at the start) and we got quite the interesting unexpected winner too which makes things interesting.
All and all, this was fun. I look forward to what's next especially after another big show coming up this weekend and well, where does everything go next.
And then the long wait for another show date which is never fun but the wait is worth it. Great stuff.

Well for starters, while with the length of the show I’m glad I had a seat while I read but I only ended up needing the edge of it.
The whole thing just came together so well. The lore parts are always on point, but here especially it did a great job amping up the stakes of what’s to come later this weekend. Bums me out that I won’t be part of Battles officially but damn am I excited for it.
While the undercard didn’t feature any surprises the craziness of the introduction more than carried that end, and both Cloud and Satterfield continue to build themselves up with those victories.
The Intrepid Odyssey match itself… man. As I said to you in DMs throughout the week, you’re a madman for undergoing such an endeavor but it turned out beautifully. The graphics work was top notch and I loved the playful little match reward things that popped up throughout. Rumble matches can be very difficult to make everyone look good (especially early eliminations) but I think you did as good a job as anyone I’ve seen handle that. Also loved the little stories mixed in throughout: the Shuko Murder-Gun rampages, the BDL being so individualistic that they struggled to truly get in sync, and so on.
Not going to lie, I was super anxious going into this match. My health issues really messed with my creative process this past month, and it took me a very long time to get going on it. I took a gamble on the subject matter swinging for the fences, and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. Jack spent most of the past year spinning her wheels, so being able to come here and get some focus and direction for her has been amazing.
Thank you so much for having me, and thank you to the roster as a whole. This was an insane effort on the part of everyone and as a former fedhead myself I know that it’s all about the competitors keeping that fire lit for the boss.

I just want to say that what REQUIEM Puroresu put together here is an amazing effort that worked out so well. Also, the RPs that were posted for this show were excellent. There was so much reading and it was very worth it. Everyone did a great job and I'm happy to see how it all played out on this grand scale. The Bison Kojima opening was fantastic. I'm a big fan of the lore here. It was well written and just crazy. Aoi and Kojima running the waiter off was great. I liked Bison being put in the position to have to watch over foreignors. Talking to roomba made me laugh. The attack and death were impactful. I do feel bad for Setsuna in that Bison will not be telling her about her mother. Well done all around. I liked what was covered about it by the announce team after as well as the honoring of Bison. The fatal fourway was great. Loved at the end where all four were down and it became a scramble. Matsuda gutted that out for the win in a really close contest. I really dug the Endo/Satterfield scene. Endo appreciating her despite her feelings for her not being the strongest was nice. She knows what she has in Satterfield and she's obviously worried about what's to come. Satterfield/Layne got off to a solid start before anything happened with the title snatching and posing. I was not expecting them to start out so much on a more technical note than a brawling one. Layne turning the tide by getting her knees up led to a nice sequence. Very back and forth match where they gave it their all. Just hard fought. Satterfield was really pushed here, but she retained and she did it without anything questionable happening outside of her control. Enjoyed the Aoi/GDF/COV scene. Aoi taking responsibility was cool. So was people not understanding what's in front of them. How could they? I'm not surprised Aoi decided to go afterall. She's one of those characters I like listening to when they talk. The Intrepid Odyssey was just an insane rollercoaster. It was so good. There were so many moving pieces I am not sure how REQUIEM Puroresu kept track of it all. Just a superior effort and probably the greatest battle royal I've ever read. I loved the changing rules and the graphics that went with them. I'd love to do a breakdown of everything in it that I enjoyed, but I think I would burn out from that alone. My hat is off to you REQUIEM Puroresu. Amazing work. Then there was even more lore after. Awesome. Don't sleep on this one just because the first one had so much action and was a shock to see. This lore segment is really good and really delves into some interesting things. Very much enjoyed it. What a wonderful show. Congrats to everyone.

A live look at me after reading that and knowing there's still Battles to go.
This weekend's shows is a massive undertaking for one man and I hope everyone on the roster does feedback or, at the least, tells you how much they appreciate you and your hard work. The Odyssey grew.. and grew.. and grew.. as more people wanted in. That's a testament to what's going on here. As one of the people here from day one, there's no many new folks on the roster that it makes my head spin trying to keep up, which is a good thing! As someone who runs a niche fed of his own, I know this is a passion project of an insane man and I respect that.
The lore was HEAVY on this show. Depressing, sad, intense, and downright beautiful in its own chaotic way. Lore segments have been icing on the cake for the MGP shows since the beginning, but it isn't filler. Bison Kojima (RIP) will obviously prove the old adage of *card subject to change. I was wondering with this show being short on matches, what the length would be like. I knew the Odyssey match itself would be a behemoth with 50 people in it, but the lore wasn't shortchanged. And not only that, it alters the course of the next show and beyond.
Graphics wise, man, so many custom images to give us a vivid picture of what's going on. Not to mention 50 individual entrance graphics, MEDALS for the three winners, and legit everything was customized. What you've done with graphics since April is astounding. It's the little things that separates MGP from the others.
Odyssey-wise, what a match. I know you like writing battle royals, but my god. Congratulations to Matt on the win. I knew I wasn't winning, so it made reading the show itself a lot of fun an anxious. Aria had a nice run, so I can't complain at all. Spivey getting double dipped was a funny spot.
No one can complain with how it went, the finalists, or how they performed individually. It took a few times during work to read and digest, but it was an excellent layout and people have stuff to work off of moving forward. The surprise entrants was a nice touch and added to the realism of the show. It was cool to even see some of them be affiliated with factions already, giving instant stories to them and their groups.
The video game graphics throughout were slick. I also laughed that the stipulations changed throughout to only make it harder on yourself to write. You're insane.
This show was easily 50k of writing, not counting the Battles show coming Sunday. An absolute labor of love and I hope MGP and yourself get the flowers you deserve and all of the kudos, respect, and appreciation for going above and beyond when you don't have to. The bar of competition is so low, but you just blow them out of the water each and every outing.
Here's heading onward to Battles!

What. A. Show.
Everything was well written as always and the twist with Kojima's murder at the beginning caught me by surprised and had me hooked. The show more than lived up to the standard set by past events and from top to bottom was an amazing read.
I loved the interaction between Maddy and Elessa after the title match. Xia is a great writer so I knew it would be a tough match, and glad I was able to retain.
Congrats to Jack too on the win in the Odyssey match. Maddy needing 3 people to take her out was great too, as well as her presentation during the match.
10/10 and can't wait to see what happens next.

I LOVED this event. From top to bottom, it was easy to read and kept me hooked with all the twists and turns [especially Difalco returning and going after Alicia. I actually squealed when I saw her name]. The lore segments add another layer to the story as well, which makes it feel like an experience more so than a simple wrestling show. I'm glad I was tbrought here and can't wait to see where things head next.
Great job everybody 😀.

There are so many things to say about the Oydssey! First and foremost, holy crap REQUIEM Puroresu!! To have written THIS show with so much detail with all the moving pieces, disparate characters and storylines with everyone? I don't know how you do it but it's astounding. You deserve all the standing ovations in the history of humanity for this, it was amazing! Random thoughts - the Kojima stuff was heavy and impactful. Definitely have a lot to consider with Setsuna moving forward and wondering what in the world The Shrine will bring. Spots that made me pop: the various 'new rules' graphics. Every time. Without fail. Especially the MGS and Mass Effect ones. I'm still giggling at 'Tell Garrus he's a good dog'. Kasey Vex getting a nice run to start the match and showing a ton of heart. BLACK TORA! It was awesome to see her get some big moments, she's quickly becoming more than just the Shitty Little Tiger. Donna Di Falco randomly turning up, then getting eliminated pretty quickly afterwards. Yuna showing the telltale signs of Devil Yuzuki influence, just enough to hint at the danger to come at Battles. Her getting to fight Aria again and actually eliminate her was a nice nod to the Princess Cup. And both Jack and heartkillers showed out huge. What a crazy show. I will add more thoughts as they come. There was so much to this show!

The TL:DR version is that this is the best execution of a Royal Rumble-like I've seen in-efedding. Rumbles are usually fun to watch, but the logistics of putting one together and juggling all the moving pieces, making sure everyone gets time to shine, keeping the action flowing, just getting from the beginning to the end in a sensical manner seems like a nightmare, and you grand-slammed this shit. Results-wise and RP-wise, the work put in will cement Intrepid Odyssey as a big deal match that looms over the other shows in the months leading up to it. It's immediately established as a big deal.
Alternate title for Battles Without Honor or Humanity - Shiori Shuko's Magical Getaway Island Bullshit. Speaking of looming, we somehow have a second show the same weekend casting a dark shadow over Intrepid Odyssey. I really dug the Bison-Setsuna relationship, which is unfortunately cut short, with Bison's ghost now looming over Setsuna's career and I will stop using that metaphor. The phone conversation and seeing Bison connect with someone right before dying made the ending hit harder. And now Bison's death, um, looms over the entire show. Housako's introduction definitely took some of the sting out.
IIW Women's World 4-Way - Great opener, dug the mad dash at the very end with Matsuda hitting the Blasian Suplex on Marisol, then having to deal with Raye before being able to make the pin, before Hixx takes Raye out and Matsuda cinches it with the Cloud 9. The announcers selling the daunting task of having to compete in a tough match and then go onto compete in Odyssey later reinforces the stakes, especially for Matsuda.
ENDVR Champion Satterfield v Layne - Favorite spot was Satterfield getting the knees from the top rope splash attempt and then Layne pouring on the strikes to wear her down and play catchup after Satterfield controlled the match up to that point. The IZANAMI crew helping both competitors afterward sold how grueling this one was.
More Shrine ambiance, think about all the fun of competing in a brutal battle royal then the next day competing at a murder island, awesome weekend.
Intrepid Odyssey - More prizes added with on-the-fly rules, great way to keep things fresh in a 50-person match. Vex and Storm are great starters, both with specific reasons to want a shot at the champion, but also faced with the insurmountable task actually winning from the worst possible spots. Great to see Pride of IZANAMI Champion Liberty Dare make history once again as the first-ever Intrepid Odyssey elimination, I am truly honored.
I know everyone already harped on the formatting, but not only did this look great, it was easy to follow and whenever I was trying to reread and find a spot, that was no problem. Love the graphic cards as well, and how they have name, faction and entry number all conveniently listed for every entrant. Especially helpful with how the faction numbers would play in. The interjections with new stipulations were also great, in theory and execution. MGS weapons intro was probably my favorite.
I can't say enough good things. Juggling the entries and eliminations, the mini-stories playing out, the presentation, best battle royal I've seen in e-fedding and an absolutely blast to be a part of. Congratulations to Matt for winning, it's a hell of an accomplishment. Also congrats to Kasumi, who I dread facing and will have to do it twice, how wonderful. Hopefully we can turn this into a blood feud.
S-tier results, community, output, everything. Don't know how you did it, but to say I'm impressed is an understatement.
