Better late than never or not if my feedback sucks, oh well.
Kondo endeavors to marry a western woman, this arc ends with GAA hitting him with every finisher.
Matilda speaking Japanese with an English street urchin accent is a great touch and feels like soon enough she'll start her own group of pickpockets. Tomoe and Saya are broing up over tea and beating people up. Tomoe's surprisingly diplomatic outside of how she treats Matilda.
While Jessika wrestler Sirelda, Nao hints that Shrine talk could get someone Romero'd. Sirelda has a prop sword, which makes sense because a sword would be a deadly weapon but you could attack with a prop sword all day in the context of a wrestling match. Unfortunately for her the neko CAD's her into oblivion.
Big debut for Chloe Coudray, Iron Chaining Nori to death and addressing the whole of IZANAMI to add more oomph to the babyface side. Coudray against Tomoe this month should be an absolute banger.
Speaking of Tomoe, she and Mitsuko have an epic confrontation that should definitely be revisited. Tomoe using Matilda to check Mitsuko's gear was a great character beat to open the match, along with the twins butting in to even the odds. Great use of assist characters that made the match feel more distinct. A no DQ match between Tomoe and Mitsuko with all the supporting characters in the mix would be awesome.
Tag match was super fun with Ciara doing the work for her team and Liberty wanting to jump in to capitalize. Loved the knuckle spot disqualification, Liberty having a utility belt as part of her gear is one of my favorite touches added, and that was all you.
Himiko starts her reign off strong with a victory over Saya. Their rivalry is an easy excuse to run this one back for the belt at some point. Saya would make for a vicious challenger, and she's sure to be back in the title mix soon. Tomoe, Ciara, and Liberty entering the fray made me start thinking about a five/six/seven/however many way match, I'm not sure if the academy has an elimination chamber budget but I would love to see the developmental equivalent. Saya destroying Himiko's arm was another excellent display of how methodical she is. I'm pretty excited for Saya/Liberty next month, meanwhile Ivy Quinn closes out with the eerie vibes to hype Quinn/Himiko for the title.
Another great show in the books. The IZANAMI title scene is good and crowded.
