I love Axis and Allies, but have probably played a full game of it like twice. I played it back in like high school before overly complicated board games became commonplace, but it was always really fun. Arkham Horror's really fun, but I had one in college called Monsters Menace America, where everyone controls a kaiju and a branch of the military. The goal is to mutate and power up your own monster, while using your military to impede the other monsters as much as possible. Then there's a big monster battle royale at the end to determine the winner. Pretty fun, but I don't think it's being made anymore. There are spiritual successors I've been meaning to get on like Horrified and King of Tokyo, but I haven't had the chance to play them yet. Monsters Menace America is always gonna have a special place in my heart though. Seriously, look at this shit. |
