Give me a top ten or a top five list of your toughest or most enjoyable writers you’ve faced in this hobby. We’re all from different circles and avenues of this game, but I’m sure we all have some stories to tell

1.) Brett Albers - 'Big Match Brett' always brings it when it counts and made me a better writer.
2.) Matt G - Another writer who always shows up when it counts and will beat you if you don't bring it.
3.) Eric Kotarski - When I came back after my first e-fed break, he was the guy who "took my place" atop the mountain and I had to beat him to get my spot back.
4.) Josh - I know all of the matches were predetermined for storyline, but the last two times we wrote, we each did the 6k word limit and really felt like what we were doing mattered.
5.) Tagg - I got to do two matches against his best character, Danielson, and also a couple against his 2nd-best(?) in MJF. Real fun time.
6.) Drew - Immediately in the top ten and we've not gotten the result of the match yet. I felt an immense amount of pressure but also, it's really easy to write against someone you respect.
7.) Dave - One of the most complete writers I've ever come across. Comedy, serious, job character/main eventer, it doesn't matter. He can do it.
8.) Anthony - Was my first big win when I was starting out and gave me my first soul-crushing loss shortly thereafter. A good friend and an excellent writer.
9.) Jon - After 13 years, I got back into fedding in EWA and stepped up against their World Champion at the time and gave him everything he wanted and more as a character I had seen ONCE on television, let alone never written as before. I love being tested against the best.
10.) Jason King - He was Mr. Perfect before and after Hennig died. Odd time in the world. We had a good feud going in ACW in the early 00's and he was always top class.
Honorable Mention: Rob Boyle

1.) Josh - Always pushed me as a writer to try and find ways to dig deep to beat him and even when not facing him, his work inspires me to try and recapture the descriptive skills I once had 2.) Scott - Was a hell of a feud in early SGW that remains a fond memory and when Scott is on, he can really make a compelling story. His WLCW insincere "babyface" Cody Rhodes was all time. The real person could take notes. 3.) Dave - You never know what Dave's going to produce, but it's something worthy of a serious novelization/dramatic production usually. His comedy is great too, but when he hits that those real serious pieces? He's my current mountain I can't seem to overcome most times but it's a pleasure each time going for it. 4.) Ailly - When she hits her stride, she's as lethal as anyone. I have a totally illogical hatred of Jinny due to Ailly's Jinny. 5.) Matt G. - Some of my favorite comedy RPs to read ever were made by him. He can lowkey sucker someone in and BAM, wreck them. 6.) Drew - Only one match ever but that Eddie Kingston/Bray Wyatt remains near the top of my faves of this recent run of fedding the past few years. Drew's creativity is off the charts. Just look at his Maharaja of Vascularity Jinder Mahal or his... sorry "Lorenzo's" Juventud Guerrera 7.) Tagg - My poor memory can't think if I actually had major match against him since I usually did women's side of things in the recent run, but his Bryan Danielson in SGW was a legitimate monster in the most enjoyably frightening of ways 8.) Zelda - When she finds that right Joshi character? She can hang with anyone and have just as even odds to beat them. I still owe her for beating my Jamie Hayter 9.) Alicia Rice - I don't know her actual name, was someone I faced in IIW until she ghosted. She helped make my Donna DiFalco character fun and gave me something for my character to be intense about. A yin to Donna's yang. 10.) Emerson - Bwahaha pfft... no The Real 10.) Roc aka "Latoya Hixx" - You truly never know what Roc might produce or whacky matches/stipulations he'll book.

In no particular order:
1) Josh - I only knew about SGW because Josh did me in as Kairi a few times while I was in the early days of Ruby. I remember my first impression of his writing was basically "are you fking kidding me? How the hell does anyone beat this?"
2) Jay - I don't care how many times the guy beats me. There's a rivalry here, and his creativity is godly.
3) Ailly - I've definitely faced her more than anyone else ever. That's what happens when you've been in the same efed circle for like, 20 years. Strangely, not many of the matches have happened in recent times. Plenty of fun rivalries here, though. I never look forward to facing her because she write at an elite level as anyone, especially when you constantly write as somebody she detests.
4) Anthony - He'll say I'm a mountain or whatever, but things will inevitably swing back the other way. I suppose there's less chance of them swinging here, just because we're in the same faction. You never know, though. Either way, Anthony should be writing novels with his abilities.
5) Drew - what do I call him, exactly? I'm just going to include Lorenzo in this discussion, even if he rather I not. Everybody knows the genius of his Eddie Kingston or Jinder Mahal, but they may not remember that first ever Juventud Guerrera post. It was the whackiest roleplay I've ever seen. We lost Lorenzo too soon.
6) Scott - similar to above, I'm including Mr. Brian in this discussion, since really that's the only time I've faced Scott, unless I'm forgetting something. I was NOT looking forward to facing Cody Rhodes in SGW anytime the chance presented itself. What a top-notch character. If only Ryan Nemeth could've taken him down for the WLCW Championship.
7) Shawn - similar to Ailly, I've been in Shawn's circle for a long time, but the only matches worth a damn have been the recent ones. We at least got to have a proper, sustained rivalry as our more 'refined' efed selves very recently. I definitely never wanted to face his angsty Bryan Danielson, a character just running roughshod and dominating over people. When he's on, he's on.
8) Wasabi - I've faced Wasabi a good number of times, and the rivalry between Hyper Misao and Sarah Logan is still one of my favorite things, even if it was really dumb and full of nonsense. Sometimes those are the best things. I was also honored to lose to the greatness of Hyper Misao.
9) Ash - this was a guy from Global Wrestling Federation. He was basically an OG of the place, and to this day, one of the most creative writers I've ever known. His primary character was Steven Richards, of all people.
10) KJ - another guy from GWF. I'd be remiss not to mention these two. They were the only glue holding the place together for a long time, until a bunch of fools tried to bring it back from the dead. His primary and most successful character? Kanyon.

My list is kind of short. I don't have many folks I've faced a LOT, and there's a handful that I've faced a few times way back in the day that I don't want to honor by speaking their names, not that they would've cracked this list anyway, probably. I'll try to hit five.
1. Brett - Already mentioned above by Scott. Looking back on the early years (2002-2006), Brett was probably my most consistent heavy hitting opponent and he still brought it later on when we faced each other in NWA: Battlelines in 2020. It's always a pleasure facing Brett because he's on when he's on, especially when there's a title or pride at stake. That's why he's Big Match Brett.
2. Dave - With more time, I think Dave would probably usurp the number one spot. Our only legitimate matches were in EWA and he was, I think, my first opponent after coming back to e-fedding after a 13 year hiatus. I remember getting personally offended when his RPs went up because my first opponent WASN'T SUPPOSED TO BE THIS GOOD. I'm still not sure what would've happened if we posted 3-3 for Tokyo SOS. If we butt heads a few more times on neutral ground, he probably hits number one but I don't know if I'm up for it these days, lol. Since our feud in EWA, I've watched Dave turn into an absolute killer and he's literally number one on the list of people I'm not in a hurry to face at full power, regardless of the fed, who runs it, or the word limit. Dude can wreck you with 2 or 10,000 words.
3. Anthony - He would probably also be higher if he was around in post-2002 for League of Champions, SGWx, SGW '06, etc. We had some knockdown drag out fights in SGW in 2000-2001. He was also the first person to beat me in, like, 20+ years in Seven Star Pro. He's a beast who writes with great length and great quality.
4. Scott - Another who would be higher under different circumstances. We've never legitimately faced each other one-on-one. We did a series of angled matches toward the end of SGW '22 and actually did go all-out on the RPs but at the end of the day, those were about fleshing out a story rather than tearing out each other's throats. Not sure if we'll ever do the match legit but we've definitely had some of the stiffest angled matches in my experience.
5. Mike Anstett - I felt like I faced this guy twice a week when I started e-fedding in '99. We were in a fed called the Pro-Wrestling Alliance which was a tri-fed made up of WWF, WCW, and ECW and we were feuding in all three of them. We feuded later on in SGW and I'm sure there were a dozen others at the time. I always got the feeling he genuinely didn't like me. In PWA-ECW, he was Tracy Smothers and I was "Big" Dick Dudley.
