Alright, welcome back to the show. This is hour two of the Five Star Report. You can subscribe at FiveStarNews.com, follow us on Twitter @fivestarnews, and be sure to follow us on TOUT! It still exists, people.
I'm Mark Romero, @markromero5sn. Miracle Galaxy Pro had their first show on the 25th, it was pretty awesome. I'll be bringing you all my ON THE MARK and OFF THE MARK selections from the show. People really got fired up about that on social media. Joshi fans, brother. They love their stuff. Can't bash it or critique any of it or the flood gates open.
One time, this guy was so distraught that his favorite wrestler died that he wished he was able to trade places with her, or, at the very least, TRAVEL THROUGH TIME AND STOP IT FROM HAPPENING! I tell ya', you give me one superpower and it's not gonna' be time travel.
It's gonna' be seeing the future so I can know the lottery jackpot numbers are gonna' be so I can win a billion dollars and never have to have my Twitter flooded with GEEKS harping on about why their favorite wrestler isn't my favorite wrestler. You wanna' know why your favorite wrestler isn't my favorite wrestler?
BECAUSE MORE THAN FIVE PEOPLE HAVE HEARD OF MY FAVORITE WRESTLER! Over here trying to be hipster wrestling fans, drinking IPAs, wearing beanies in the summer with neckbeards, and picking obscure nobodies as your favorites. Idiots.
Travel through time and save a wrestler that's never heard of you? Why not travel through time and save Abraham Lincoln?! That cat FREED THE SLAVES! He also put people in headlocks. Best of both worlds if you're trying to save a wrestler.
Anyway, let's get back to Miracle Galaxy Pro.
HISTORIC BIG BANG EVOLUTION 2023! What a show name. The logo was sweet. A lot happened and it looks like MGP is a promotion that'll be hanging around with some interesting stories coming out of the show. I'll get Vinny on here in a minute to cover it a little more in-depth and preview the next show, but first, let's get Beav in here.

Alright Beav. I've hyped it up on Twitter earlier in the week and now it's time to talk about it. Your only takeaway from MGP's show was that you've fallen in love.. And it's not with Chelsea Skye.
Chelsea Skye was so six weeks ago. Those finger exercises caught my attention but I am blocked by her on Twitter. Didn't even get a chance to make a move.
Well, I don't think she'd be into you anyway, so she was probably just protecting her peace, brother. Who is the apple of your eye now? Literal tens of people have asked after I tweeted about the MGP show.
That MGP show was bad ass, man! I hate women's wrestling. I don't speak Japanese. I hate sushi and Jackie Chan. But I liked it.
Jackie Chan is from Hong Kong.
Yeah, tell me about it. Chris Tucker carried his ass.
That's not Japan, though. That's China.
So there's a chance I could like Jackie Chan? This changes everything.
Before this gets any more sideways, your new love interest coming out of this show?
Dude, that chick with the pigtails has stolen my heart. I don't know her name and couldn't pronounce it if I could.
A girl with pigtails does NOT dwindle down the list of Japanese wrestlers, ya' freak.

Her. She's perfect in every way. I stan for this random girl. Marry me or at least slide into my DMs.
Where did you get this photo? That's Kaede Iruma's official roster photo with a heart on it.
I am very proficient in Photoshop.
You left the white border on the right side of the photo and added a clipart heart. That's not Photoshop. That's janky work.
You try doing it with one hand.
Dear God.
Vinny, for the love of God, get in here and help us.
Beav, that girl is nineteen-years-old!
That's legal!
It doesn't make it right. The Heartkillers are one of the top teams in the Dual Wield division and you need to respect her as an athlete instead of a piece of meat. Also, there's so many stereotypes that's been touched upon here tonight and it's incredibly offensive.
Vinny, she won't touch you, either. So quit defending her. This is lust, this is love blooming like Japanese Cherry Blossoms! Just like you had at home.
I'm from Bismarck, North Dakota.
That's not a real town, Vinny.
Alright, alright. Vinny, how authentic was this MGP show?
Excellent. Amazing. I can't even put into words what we just witnessed. The faction concept was something I was curious about at first in terms of seeing how the competitors worked together and got along, especially being predetermined upon signing with MGP. Right off the bat, we saw factions work together, one leader decided to try to expand her team by an attempted-poaching, and another leader threaten her trainees with violence!
The main event, my God. Bison Kojima still has it! Aria Knight and Maggie Crush fought valiantly, and you can tell Aria Knight might think Maggie wasn't focused on the match after trying to recruit Chelsea Skye earlier in the night.
..What.. What are you doing, Mark? What's all of that background noise?
Do ya' like gum, Vinny?
I mean, yeah, it's great.. Sure.
Anyway, back to the show. The Heartkillers really represented for Shuko MURDER-gun, which is hilarious to me that they're these tiny idol girls turn violent ki-
Look Vinny, I'm chewin' gum! It's Fruit Stripe!
I'm trying to talk about the show here, Mark. Do you mind?
The flavor in this Fruit Stripe gum is gonna last longer than Shuko MURDER-gun at this rate!
I expected this from Beav but not you.
Anyway.. back to the show you asked me to review..
It was also really neat getting to see the IIW Championship defended in MGP. Junko was a great opponent and has a history with the promotion, so it was fitting. Junko, I've heard, is dipping her toe into the deathmatch scene now. Maybe we'll see more of Junko in MGP and Beckett as well.
Beckett Marisol, let's talk about her. Rumors running wild after that show. I've heard she had a great time working in Japan and enjoyed MGP a lot. She's still in contact with the MGP administration. Could she be working more dates? Could a part-time schedule be in her future? I know she's the IIW Champ and has her own responsibilities, but wouldn't you think she'd thrive in Japan?
I think it would be mutually beneficial to both IIW and Beckett to continue working with MGP. There's a LOT of talent in MGP that IIW simply doesn't have right now. If something were to happen and she lose the belt to a MGP talent, the relationship would be there to work the IIW shows. In fact, I've heard there's been some behind-the-scenes work to get Junko to team with Latoya Hixx in an IIW ring.
Well, not every match is a dream match, folks.
Those Hixx sisters are something else. When I worked in Tijuana that time, this promoter ran an all-luchadore show, no chicks. Latoya showed up, demanded a World Title match, and did not take no for an answer.
What did he do then?
He convinced her that she could have a match for number one contendership on a non-existent pay-per-view. She went back to her locker room, the promoter canceled the show and sent everyone home. Home boy voluntarily ate a financial loss instead of dealing with her.
That's how I feel about dealing with you two sometimes. Back to the show.
Iron sharpens iron, and I think Beckett could really benefit facing Kasumi Nijima, Yuna Saito, Chloe Storm, Anya Bonecrusher, Costanza Caponata, and Minako Toki. On the flip side, it could also benefit some new additions to MGP to go over to England and work IIW and bolster that division. Could you imagine Aria Knight coming back home to England? Could be really cool.
Not cool - Colors of Victory getting poached the first show.
I personally don't think Chelsea Skye is going to take Maggie Crush's offer, but I could be wrong.
I would. Gaijin Assault Army is a strong unit. Way stronger and dangerous than a bunch of colors.
You know, Beav? You had a real thought there. I'll let you roll with it.
Oh, that's all I have. I'm about to start having chatGPT type out my responses for the rest of these shows. I hate women's wrestling. Give me big sweaty men slappin' meat, you know? But I do enjoy looking at the ladies.
Well, we were close.
I don't really understand why Beav stays employed but hey, whatever. I don't make these decisions.
The show was excellent. I love Joshi. The fighting spirit they display and their never-say-die attitudes are admirable. I cannot wait for Stargazer to start up in a few weeks. I hope a lot of Western fans give it a shot and enjoy a small sample of what these girls are capable of.
Western fans? Like countr-
No, not like country music. Don't even. You know better.
I'm going with Costanza Caponata for On the Mark. This gal left no doubt in her debut match and had social media buzzing with how hot she is and how dominating she looked coming out of Big Bang. It was a flawless first six weeks in MGP for Caponata.
For Off the Mark, I hate to do it, but I'm putting the entire Queens of Chaos on there. They came in with a LOT of buzz from their dominance in other promotions. They were allowed to bypass the faction system and stuck together in their own group, and the numbers still did not give them an advantage. There's allegedly over twenty members of this group and Jessica Ozborne brought Alexandra Callaway with her? Kick her out of the group!
Miracle Galaxy Pro is looking to parlay their successful debut show with another, and man, what a main event. That's something that seems to be a focal point for the new company, which is a solid strategy. Sell tickets with the marquee match and let that undercard surprise and deliver. Vinny, take it away with the preview!
March 25, 2023 - Tokyo, Japan - Korakuen Hall
Costanza Caponata positioned herself atop the MGP mountain with her impressive showing at Historic Big Bang Evolution and looks to be the one to beat in the company moving forward. She can't lose sight, however, as the debut Razor Ohka has a reputation of her own. This should be a good one!
Aria Knight didn't win, but her Gaijin Assault Army teammates picked off an impressive win and look to add another against a solid Colors of Victory duo. Four singles wrestlers come together to face off in a potential Match of the Night! Aloha and Dixon are two big signings with MGP and add to a deep roster.
Yuna Saito led her team to a Dual Wield exhibition win on the debut show and now she has to pay the price against Shuko's handpicked opponent for her in Dixie Boone. Boone is imposing and could crush Yuna's dreams quickly. I'm going with Yuna to win this one and keep her undefeated streak intact.
Beav's ex-girlfriend, Chelsea Skye, has a real chance to pick up her first singles victory against the fiery Yuka Wantanabe, but the real story is her future with.. or not with.. the Gaijin Assault Army. Will her focus be elsewhere and Yuka snatch a victory because of it?
Melissa Tasman is another debuting star here in MGP and she's looking to vanquish Hiromi Takeda. You know, I didn't expect Hiromi to beat Tigre like she did, but it was a pleasant surprise and I hope she can continue winning over the fans with her exciting moveset.
The BUSTER WOLVES have a lot of hype around them and a real opportunity lies ahead of them to head to Approaching the Golden Horizon to compete for the Dual Wield Championships. The Queens of Chaos came into MGP with a lot of fanfare, forgoing joining the traditional MGP factions to stand alone. It was a tough show for the group, but we'll see what kind of leader Ozborne is and whether or not her and Sanada can position the Queens for more gold.
Kasey Vex gave Costanza Caponata a tough match and fell just short, while Black Tora continued the success of the Black Dahlia Legacy. This one is completely up in the air and I'm excited to see how this one goes! Kasey Vex is my pick to rally in this one.
Bison Kojima recruited one of the fastest risers in the business in Minako Toki, who secured a win over Maggie Crush and Aria Knight on the last show. Toki has taken the Joshi world by storm and looks to be a force within the company. BUT, Shuko MURDER-gun has made it a point to do whatever is necessary to win on this show and Shinobu Tsutsumi will not go down easily. Let's see how it goes!
My favorite tag team in professional wrestling, all of it, is The Hixx sisters. Their appearances have changed but their talent in the ring has not! The HEARTKILLERS want Dual Wield gold themselves, and will fight however hard it takes to secure their spot in the Dual Wield Championship match. I'm rooting for Latoya and her sister, but I think all of us as fans will be the true winners.
Aria Knight has gone radio silent since eating the pin fall during the main event of the first show. Rumblings online is that she is reacting poorly to the outcome and I feel bad for Yua Kamei. However, Yua did get a win at the last show, so she has some momentum on her side.
Shuko MURDER-gun needs a win here and the stakes are high. Kasumi Nijima and Sayaka Endo are looking to make things even more difficult on them as Black Dahlia Legacy proves to be one of the toughest factions in MGP. Nijima was a star of the first show and is my pick to become the first Interstellar Champion, so we'll see how LUNA fairs here.
That All Belts Spectacular show ought to be something else. I can think of four, maybe five legitimate contenders for that Interstellar Belt, Vinny. But before we get too in-depth on April's show, we have to see what happens at the end of this month first. There's a lot of stories that need expanding upon and playing out before we get deep into it.
But I'm really excited about Miracle Galaxy Pro and what's to come. New people coming in, originals getting their feet solidified in a new world, and this freelancing thing really throws a curve ball at people. I dig it. What did you all think of MGP's first show? At me on Twitter with your thoughts!
For Beav and Vinny, I'm Mark Romero. This is the Five Star Report, part of the Five Star News Network.

Alright, let's ruffle some feathers. It's time for On and Off the Mark! I'm going to mention one thing I liked and one thing I hated during the first cycle of MGP's existence. Look at the logos! They're Harry Potter! You're a winner, Harry!
I'm going with Costanza Caponata for On the Mark. This gal left no doubt in her debut match and had social media buzzing with how hot she is and how dominating she looked coming out of Big Bang. It was a flawless first six weeks in MGP for Caponata.
