OOC: This is my first RP I did for a fed called Kingdom Come Wrestling. It is a 1,000 word RP limit in a match against a Non-Playable Character, but I wanted to archive it for my records. It also gave me some practice with promo work with Aria and a way to expand upon her backstory a little bit.
Aria Knight has returned home to England for the first time since the beginning of January, having spent the better part of the year in Japan working for Miracle Galaxy Pro as the first signee to the Gaijin Assault Army faction. A native of Oldham, the poorest town in England, Aria worked from the bottom to hone to craft. Working in the United Kingdom, Aria has also worked extensively in Germany, Switzerland, Mexico, and the United States.
Static.
The scene fades in on a sunny afternoon. A soft wind blows through the trees, sending budding leaves shaking. Aria Knight is walking down the pavement, a more commonly known as a sidewalk in America. Traffic buzzes by on the busy streets and a few bicycles pass her as she maintains a consistent pace. She knows the camera is there, as she's filming her introductory content for Kingdom Come.
Aria Knight: Why? Why did I sign a contract for Kingdom Come? I worked so hard ta' get the opportunity to work in Japan only to sign back up in England the first chance I got.
She pauses to milk the rhetorical question.
Aria Knight: Unfinished business.
Against her will, her lips yield a mischievous smile.

A pause.
Aria Knight: And you can sod off if you think this is gonna' change. I want what I do to li'l ol' Pantera to be a warning shot to the rest of the roster. It starts wit' Pantera and then it goes to Cason Strange. Then it goes to Sara Cross. Then it goes to The Propa' Villainess havin' a bloody stranglehold on this roster so tight that the life escapes from it and there's nothin' anyone can do about it.
An older couple passing by Aria stop and stare, shocked at her words. She snarls back at them, looking to pounce on them at any moment. They quickly exit the area, leaving Aria to herself.
Aria Knight: I know about Kingdom Come. While I was workin' my way up, I heard about the things that Chuck Matthews was doin' here. Kennedy, I also know about loss. See, my father, Rupert, is the man who introduced me to this business. Once Saturday night, instead of bein' out wit' friends, I stayed home to tend to him as he fought cancer while my mum worked her second job of the day to make ends meet. We didn't have shit.. But I had professional wrestling. It's all I needed then and it's all I need now.
She keeps a stoic expression on her face as she reflects back on why she became a professional wrestler. Her body language shifts from arrogant to an almost vulnerable state.
Aria Knight: On my eighteenth birthday, I managed to save enough money for a bus ticket to London. I blew out the candles on my cake, said goodbye to my parents, and I left Oldham on a bus and went two-hundred miles to London. I slept in the dojo. I worked dangerous, crappy jobs in East London, where people'd ratha' stab you than look at you. I sacrificed everything that I could to afford my trainin' and get my parents out of that situation.
Aria sighs deeply, stopping in her tracks. Her vulnerable state switches quickly to one of defiance.
Aria Knight: My father died before he could see me wrestle professionally and that bloody pisses me right off. So instead of bein' the inspirational gal chasin' her dream, I'm the cunt makin' everyone else's dream a nightmare. So Kennedy, I know about loss. I know about losin' those closest to you and still havin' to move on an find a way to honor their legacy. You're doing it by carryin' on Kingdom Come. I'm doin' it by wiping out every person that steps in my way. My story was robbed of the happy endin' of doin' this for my father, so I have no other choice but to ruin it for everyone else in the process. So Pantera, you're next. It's nothin' personal.
A sly smirk comes across her face as Aria's eyebrows furrow.
Aria Knight: I'm gonna' beat you and simply forget you even existed afterwards. You're just a person in the wrong place at the wrong time. London's Calling.. And I'm about to kick down the bloody door and answer. For starters, it's you. In the end, it's championship gold being wrapped around my waist. I'm here for accolades. The sooner the better. Not just for me, but for the safety of the roster, and for the future of this company. That's my unfinished business. I want championship gold. Not for validation. Not for my ego. I just want to be known as the best to ever lace up the boots. Call it a hostile takeover. Call it a threat.
Pause.
Aria Knight: I call it a warning shot. And you only get one of 'em.
The scene fades to black.
