Dana Brooke in NXT was pushed so hard. There were literal weeks of her squashing people and the commentators were pushing the fact to check her out in the Arnold Classic, she's gonna be in the Arnold Classic, hey, did you know Dana's going to be in the Arnold Classic? Then the Arnold Classic came and went and they didn't bring up the subject at ALL which is abnormal for WWE to not take a moment to pat themselves on the back for having presence outside of itself... found out after the fact that she came in last and it killed her momentum and push and then she was put on the main roster way too early in that weird Charlotte's manager gimmick. I'm not a Dana fan but with that hype behind her, I was sure she'd be huge.
Also, Tyler Breeze. Presented so well in NXT but they just didn't commit to the gimmick on the main roster. He was a big deal for about a month in the feud with Ziggler, floated around, did the thing with Dango, floated around, and got released. He could have been a good mid-card champion but so often it felt like they forgot he was employed there. A faaaar cry from being the person who gave Jushin "Thunder" Liger his only WWE Match.
