Do you write with a plan or do you just let whatever happens happen?

I tend to bullet point main topics I wanna cover, but mostly wing it.

I have a rough outline laid out with a few lines here or there with points I want to hit if I think it’s clever. Then I let Jesus take the wheel

It always varies. At this point it largely depends on the characters and how badly I want to win.
I find myself planning a lot of Caponata's character and main plot points I want to get to, but I don't necessarily structure the rps themselves, beyond knowing what I want to do for the opening and closing scenes. And even then, typically it's just the opening scene I plan in advance. There's hefty room for improv and "going with the flow" in all my stuff here.
The Wingmen was pretty much all improv.
A lot of Ziggler stuff had plot points crafted out. A lot of Sonya and Daddio stuff did too. But I never structure too much as far as particular scenes, and definitely not exact lines.

Usually do 100% spontaneous but now with my thoughts racing faster than my fingers can type (or as I'm easily distracted with less attention span nowadays), I realized better to jot down the general plot points I want to hit before I forget them. So now mostly spontaneous with reminders of things that came up before I reached that point in the story, but things still will come up randomly in the interim as well or change directions.

What happens, happens. I like to put my character(s) in a scene and just write around it. See how much randomness I can fit in. I should (and will try) and plan out more story in the future. But I always approached it that way. Win or lose, *I* have fun doing it this way. So meh. I'm always more impressed with a well thought out roleplay-story being told though.

A bit of each. I already planned this month and next month. I just need to fill gaps. Also I've planned end of the story too. (for my current character at MGP)

I'm a planner. I have notes written down everywhere and sorted into stories or genres if they don't fit a story, as well as google docs with key plot points mapped out.

I have basic notes and a skeleton of where I want to go with what I’m writing.

I go with the flow. I feel it brings out the best in my promos, tbh, especially with my promos as Xia, Moore (a character I'm trying out a bunch of different places), and my run I'm on as Moxley (Discord based fed)
